Barcelona

On May 30th, Eduard and his family wanted to take us to see Barcelona. We made the two hour drive and started our adventure. We went to the Sagrada Familia, a catholic church that has been under construction for over one hundred and fifty years. The architect's name was Antoni Gaudi and before he died he did some amazing work.

Gaudi 's architecture was based from nature and Biblical symbolism. He though that if God's handiwork is good enough for Him, then why not base it off that.

Afterwards we decided to walk around and see the beautifulbuildings and streets. I loved the art they had there!

It was a wonderful day full of fun and memories. I will never forget it.

Palamos

My trip to Europe was seriously just so amazing, and I know it's taken me forever to share with you all but I am finally doing it. I am finally just sitting down and typing away. No distractions. So after we landed in Barcelona on May 29, I was completely dead. I had never had jet lag before, and my first experience was not pleasing. We drove for two and half hours to Palafrugell where the Millian-Morales family live. It is so beautiful there. Just a small Spanish town about fifteen minutes from the sea.
After Mrs. Carmen's amazing lunch and a very much needed nap, we headed out to Palamos. The town is right on the sea, and has a beautiful port full of sail boats.
There was a fish market where the fishermen take the fish strait out of their boats and into the ice to sale. And trust me they were fresh. You could smell it from a mile away. But it was super fun to see all the different creatures of the sea.
We walked around for awhile exploring Palamos and their beautiful streets and shops.

We decided to eat at a restaurant overlooking the port called Bar Los Caracoles. It was adorable! Everything was white with glass for walls so light could shine through. We had what they call "tapes" which is just plates of food that everybody at the table shares. There was Prawns, Calamari, Potato Bravas, Croquettes, and Fried Anchovies. I don't know if the food on the plane was just that bad, or if the food there was seriously amazing. It tasted so good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you visit Palamos.

After dinner Mr. Albert wanted to take us to Pals, where he lived as a boy. It used to a be a castle, yes, A CASTLE! The town was surrounded by a moat. There were cobblestone streets and flowers everywhere. It was beautiful!

xoxo. Jade!

Sunny Days

Dress:Manga Rosa(similar)//Shoes:Guess(similar) //Glasses:Mio(similar)//Bag:Bimba Y Lola//Hat:Calvin Klein

Sorry evrything is similar to what I¨m wearing. I got most of my pieces from shops in Spain and they don´t have a website. The Bimba Y Lola site is down so I couldn´t link that for you guys, but maybe you can find it later. This dress is not the most figure enhancing thing, but it is so comfortable, and it has pockets so thats a plus. You can also ditch the wedges, and throw on a pair of sandals for a walk on the beach. Seriously in love with this outfit!

The Flight Over

So I know I haven´t posted in a while, but it´s because I´m having the time of my life right now in Europe! It´s been crazy over here so this is actually my first time to be able to get on here. But as soon as I get home I am going to tell you all about my trip!

On May 28th, my mom, two brothers and I flew to Spain to visit my Spanish brother and his family. We actually figured all this out about a week before we came. The Thursday before, mom asked me if I wanted to go to Spain, and of course I said yes. After buying tickets, getting our passports in order, and packing all night, we finally made it. The flight over from Newark, NJ to Barcelona was terrible. I couldn´t sleep at all! I just ended up watching Clueless and maybe getting an hour of sleep. Plus, the food was TERRIBLE!! There was a choice of chicken or pasta, and after seeing whatever kind of meat they used as an excuse for chicken, I chose the pasta which wasn´t any better. We landed in Barcelona where Eduard and his dad Albert picked us up. We drove for about and hour and a half to Palafrugell, where they live. I slept the entire way. When we got there Eduard´s family couldn´t have made us feel more welcomed. Mrs. Carmen (Eduard´s mom) fed us amazing food, I mean after that plane ride I was in heaven. Laura, Edu´s sister, was so so nice. Eduard and Laura had to translate for us because their parents do not speak English, but even with the language barrier, we had a great time. After lunch I slept for the rest of the day, or until dinner which here in Spain they eat at around nine o´clock. After dinner we told everyone goodnight and dozed off to sleep.

My Fashion Icons

Everyone has someone that inspires them to do something. Whether it be work, sports, or hobbies, someone has an icon. They have someone to help inspire them through all different things. I have fashion icons. They help to inspire my wardrobe. I don't intend to be exactly like them,(I am still Jade, and God made me who I am.) but I look up to these women for fashion guidance. My fashion icons are:

Jackie Kennedy Onasis
Jackie O. is basically the first prepster. She wasn't afraid to take risks, even when it came to style. Being the president's wife, she was expected to dress like the presidents wife should, but she made it still very mature, but also very stylish.

Audrey Hepburn

Audrey is known for her timeless look and attitude. She was classy and feminine, yet strong and courageous. I adore her, her movies, and her unbreakable style!

Blake Lively

This woman right here is seriously astonishing! She can pull anything off, and make is look so trendy and stylish. She is like the Taj Mahal of celebrity fashion. I'm not kidding! She is so on point it hurts!

I mean look at her! She has a watermelon on her stomach, and looks flawless!

Kate Middleton

Let me tell you about my little obsession with Kate Middleton. This lady, and I mean LADY, is the most classy, most elegant, most beautiful lady in the history of ever. She has just had two kids, and looks amazing. She is the princess of England. AND she's just…just awesome! You think I am blowing this out of proportion? Take a look for yourself.
I am not blowing this out of proportion. If you looked up classy in the dictionary Kate Middleton's name would be right underneath it.

So those are my fashion icons...oh wait! This last one isn't really an icon, but he does help me guide my wardrobe. His name is Jesus Christ. This guy is the awesomest inspiration ever! (Yes, even awesomer than Kate.) He tells me to dress modestly, and to cover things that need covered. He is the most important fashion icon of them all. He calls the shots!

Now back to the beginning of the ending. So those are my fashion icons. I hope you all enjoyed! Now to leave you with this little darling!
